Watermelon Shaped Jello (Literally)

Image
Look what a friend sent me. Check out how amazing this is. Super simple to make and it looks like the real thing. How come none has thought about this amazingness until now...kkkkkk.... Absolutely fell in love with this idea. How cool would that be to serve at your next get together. Just use strawberry, cherry or even better watermelon jello. What I would do is I would probably refrigerate it for about 2 hours or until it is half way done and then get some small blueberries and stick it strategically all around the melon jello to be like the seeds inside of the watermelon. That would look super cute. From my kitchen to yours God Bless

Wheat cake

Image
I made a marble cake the other day and I didn't want to feel guilty eating all that flour. In my house between my husband and I, we are total cake lovers. Anytime I make a cake, we eat it all up in less than 24 hours. An entire cake, between the two of us  : - ) Thats sad. So for that reason I decided to try to make a cake thats a little bit healthier. Here I made a marble cake but instead of using white flour, I used whole wheat flour and it made a big difference. Try it for yourself. Just follow my  basic cake recipe  and replace the white flour with wheat flour. For more of a guilt free treat. From my kitchen to yours God Bless

If you can climb higher, why stand still? If you can learn something new, why choose not to? Growing up I never had the opportunities of today. To be able to get anything needed just a click away on the internet... Unheard of. To be able to get inspiration for all areas coming from everywhere.. Un imaginable. In todays day and age we have no reason to lack or not know how to do something. The only way that can happen is if we really don't want to learn. There are loads of blogs from bp's, pr's, pr's and bp's wives available to help you in growing Spiritually. For getting closer to God, knowing how to develop your faith as a christian etc. But even down to the more physical things. Oatmeal

Image
Ever had a fresh fruit oatmeal? Its so much better than the store bought one that comes in a box with all types of preservatives. Much healthier and far more tasty. Did you know that oatmeal helps reduce cholesterol, reduces high blood pressure  and is full of antioxidants? Those are a few of the many great qualities of oatmeal. I put oatmeal in my protein shakes , in making my desserts ,  oatmeal raisin cookies  etc. Love all types of fruits in my oatmeal. Make the oatmeal as directed on the oatmeal jar. By simply putting in about 1 cup milk and 1/3 cup old fashioned oatmeal in a pot and cooking in on low medium heat for about 6 minutes or until it thickens and oatmeal is soft. Then I add in my sugar and whatever flavors I want. I've done it before with cinnamon sticks inside the oatmeal and allowing it to cook together with the oatmeal to let off a small cinnamon flavor, done it with sprinkling ground cinnamon on top once the oatmeal is done for a slightly str...

Hate Vegetables?

Image
Are you one of those people who really hate vegetables? I mean, you know its meant to be good for you; but you absolutely can't stand them? I know a few people like that... Heres a bright idea. Just boil them, then blend them up really smooth and use it to make a thick sauce. Here I made a simple mashed potatoes with grilled Salmon and a Brussels sprouts sauce. My husband and I absolutely can't stand Brussel Sprouts. I like vegetables but there are a few choice vegetables that just aren't for me; Brussel Sprouts, Egg Plant, Tomatoes & Green Beans to name a few. But I still get them from time to time because I know that each vegetable has its own benefits to your body. So instead of suffering through them, I came up with this idea and you can hardly taste it. For my Brussel Sprout sauce, I boiled them until very soft and then I put it all in the blender with a pinch of salt and pepper and just blended it well for a few minutes until smooth. If it gets a bi...

The American Burger

Image
As an American, I know that I know that I don't speak for myself when I say that we love our burgers... I love eating Burgers. Even though I don't eat them all the time; whenever I can, I love enjoying a delicious burger. So I made my own: Super yummy, soft burger buns with my very own homemade sauce and melting cheese atop a grilled to perfection turkey burger with crisp lettuce. Served with a side of sweet potato fries. Mmmmm.... I want more. This is a fun Saturday junk food. For those days when you don't feel like going out or feel like eating something junkie but don't have money for it. Or even for those days when you want junk food but hate the guilt that comes along with eating it : - ) This is a less junkie, junk food if such a category were to exist. Ingredients Hamburger buns ground beef burger patties or (healthier option - turkey burger patties) lettuce slice cheese For Sauce: 3 tbsp mayonnaise, 3 tbsp ketchup, pickles Take your burge...

Pudding Cake

Image
A moist cake layered up with vanilla and chocolate pudding topped with whipped cream and toffee chocolate pieces. Such a deliciously addicting dessert. Once you start you don't want to stop because its so delicious. No one would ever know that it hardly takes much work to put together. Try it for yourself. Ingredients Cake (box cake or this homemade cake recipe ) Chocolate pudding Vanilla pudding Whipped cream (store bought or homemade whipped cream recipe ) heath chocolate or toffee chocolate Make your cake as directed on the box or on the recipe provided above on how to make a homemade cake from scratch, set aside. Now make your vanilla pudding set aside and now your chocolate pudding and set aside. Also make the whipped cream and set aside. The chocolate and vanilla pudding that I normally use for this recipe is the store bought box of jello pudding, the one that you just add milk and mix. Here is an example. Then take a big bowl where you wi...

Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo

Image
My husbands favorite food. Though he doesn't eat it much do to it being not that healthy. But its really delicious. Made this in a huge rush the other day. An Italian pasta dish made chicken and broccoli in a white cheese cream sauce. Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo 2Chicken Breast (pan fried and diced) 2 cups Broccoli (chopped) 1 box Fettuccine pasta 2 cups Heavy cream 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese paste or Cheddar cheese 5 cloves fresh crushed garlic seasonings (olive oil, salt, pepper) Clean and season your chicken, then fry it in a frying pan until cooked on both sides and lightly browned. Dice your cooked chicken into bite size chunks. Whilst on the mean time set a pot of water to boil. Once it boils throw in your fettuccine pasta and cook as directed on the box for 'al dente pasta' it is usually abou 10 minutes. But follow you pasta box directions.Once pasta is cooked. Drain the water and rinse the pasta in cold water, to cool. Set aside. In a separate pot throw i...
