Is there a healthy alternative to pasta?

Image
Pasta is known to be full of carbs and is known as the 'unhealthy foods' along with rice, desserts and all the likes. But what if you like pasta? what if you don't want to be unhealthy or want to eat that yummy pasta dish without the guilt? There are many alternatives to pasta. Now a days there are loads of different types of pastas made out of all sorts of natural ingredients to take away the guilt from your favorite pasta dish. For instance here are two of my favorite pastas that I recently found. One is a wheat pasta and the other is a natural pasta. Pasta made out of Sprouted grains. How they make this I have no idea what so ever. But looking at the ingredients all they used is all natural ingredients to make it. Unbelievably it tastes great. Just like pasta should. I made it a few times in my favorite pasta dishes and it did not take away from the flavor at all. It just made it healthier. I really loved especially the wheat pasta by 'Ronzoni' an

Fish Stew

A great stew to go with your rice, mashed potatoes or whatever else. Nice and warm with so many great blend of flavors. This fish dish will be sure to keep you wanting for more. Ingredients 2 full onion sliced into thin circles 2 full tomato sliced into thin circles 2 full bell pepper sliced into thin circles 4 tilapia filets ( this can also be substituted for the fish of your choice) 1 tbsp olive oil 3/4 cup tomato sauce Take a frying pan and put in your olive oil, then layer it up inside with one at a time your onion, bell pepper then tomatoes. (make sure to only use 1 onion, 1 tomato and 1 pepper. You will need them for later) after that  add in your tilapia fillets (add in a pinch of salt and pepper) Now turn your fire on to medium heat and allow to heat up for about 5 minutes As you see in this picture above. Add in your tomato sauce on top of the fish. This helps to give it some color directly on the fish and some add flavor all around. Reduce you

Homemade Ice cream

Who doesn't like Ice cream. I for one absolutely love it. Ice cream is something that every culture enjoys in one way or another. It's amazingly easy to make. Of course there are thousands of different flavored ice creams as well as different textured ones, even the more healthy soy or even yogurt ice creams. They all taste good to me. Especially on a hot summers day or as a yummy dessert. However you like your ice cream, enjoy your own homemade batch from scratch. Here are two ice creams I made recently, one was 'cookie crumb lime' and the other was 'butter pecan' Here is the recipe Cookie Crumble Lime Ice Cream 1 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk 1  1/2 cup heavy cream 1/2 cup  lime juice ( cut about 3 limes in half and squeeze as much of the juices out as possible) 1/2 cup crumbled  (cookie or cake of your choice - A plain cake or cookie is best) Take all of your ingredients ( except for the cookie crumble) and blend it all together in a blender unt

Delicious desserts

Before I show off these two talents… First of all, I really do apologize for not blogging as often as I should for the last 2 months. My schedule has drastically changed and I just had to find time to re organize myself. But I am back to my normal blogging self again                 : - ) Keep posted for daily blogs with recipes, tips and advice.  Here I have Happiness and Mayela, two blog viewers from California who made a super scrumptious dessert that I had to put it here on my blog… Since they are close by, I had the privilege to try both desserts and they were unbelievably good. Shame on me ; but I actually couldn't contain myself I had several slices of each one.Happiness made a mouthwatering strawberry cake with a chocolate ganache sauce drizzled nicely on top; while Mayela made the Queen of all desserts mixed into two a nicely carameled flan sitting perfectly on top of a very soft decadent chocolate cake sprinkled with sliced almonds. ( kkkkk…. after eating several pi
