Homemade Biscuits

Making Biscuits from scratch is so simple and an absolute delicious, warm breakfast. You get a soft and fluffy bread that melts in your mouth and goes great alone, with butter, with eggs and bacon, or even served with cream cheese and  jam. Try it your way.

For a lunch idea. You can enjoy your biscuits along side fried chicken. For that traditional Authentic American dish.

Make your biscuits at home, in your kitchen with just a few simple ingredients. Take a look how.

Ingredients
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter (cold)
3/4 cup buttermilk

Preheat your oven to 450F or set your Air fryer to 350F.

In a large bowl mix in your flour, baking powder and salt. Then add in your butter. With your hands mix it in, until it forms big course crumbs and all flour is incorporated into the butter. Then slowly add in your buttermilk (check recipe for buttermilk below) Add a little at a time until it is incorporated and the dough starts to form.

Throw your dough onto a well floured surface, and knead your dough by playing around with it; folding the dough into itself until it is soft and moldable. Pat down until about 2 inch thick and then get a round cup or cookie cutter and cut the shapes and place on a baking sheet. Once you cut the circles and there is extra dough, just reshape it and do the same and cut into circles until all your dough is done. This should give you about 8 biscuits.

Bake in oven for about 12 minutes, or in Air fryer for about 8 minutes. Until outside is slightly starting to brown but still soft to the touch.

(Quick note, do you know how to make buttermilk?  Here's a quick Buttermilk recipe. Get 1 cup of milk and add 1 tbsp of lemon juice to the milk, mix and lett it sit for 15 min. Twalla... now you have buttermilk)

Enjoy

From my kitchen to yours,
God Bless
