Breakfast Casserole

I learned about this recipe from a friend and tweaked it just a bit. Its absolutely genius. You throw all your favorite breakfast ingredients into one pyrex and bake it to perfection. The perfect blend of soft melt in your mouth butter biscuits, scrambled eggs, melted cheese, crispy bacon and sausage, and that perfect white gravy that brings it all together. A true American soulful Breakfast. Since first trying it I haven't had enough. Making it every chance I get. Try it for yourself. Really delicious.

Ingredients
1 Grands Biscuits
6 eggs
little milk just to add to the eggs
1/2 cup cheese
few slices of turkey bacon and chicken sausage ( as much as you like)
salt and pepper to taste

Gravy
1 cup milk
2 tsp flour
1 tsp butter

Directions
Preheat oven to 350F

Butter a pyrex and brown your sausage and bacon in a skillet, take your entire can of biscuits and cut each biscuit into 3, Place your cut biscuits into the buttered pyrex. Layer your browned sausage and bacon on top of your biscuits, cover with shredded cheese on top of the sausage and bacon.

Mix the eggs and milk in a bowl add a little salt and pepper and pour over your layered ingredients. In a small pot add milk, butter and flour and cooking on medium low heat rapidly whisk it together until it is thickened and smooth like a white sauce. If it is too thin add a little more flour at a time and repeat the steps until it begins to thicken. Remove from the fire.

Pour your homemade gravy over everything and bake in the oven for about 40 min. Ready when the top is golden and when a knife inserted in the middle comes out dry.

Tip: If you like maple syrup. It goes great with maple syrup poured all on top of it, as you would with pancakes. It revolutionizes the taste.
