Making Yogurt Exciting !!!

Just plain ol' yogurt can go a long way. It's inexpensive and has endless options as of what you can do with it. You can cook with it (I've made yogurt creamed lasagna before. Really good. Soon I'll show you how) you can freeze it, you can eat it just as it is and you can add loads of different ingredients to completely alter the taste. Here is what I did as a snack today.

I wanted something junky, something for my sweet tooth. So here is what I made. Really good, In a few minutes I am going to do it again, I want seconds...

I took vanilla flavored yogurt then scooped a teaspoon full of apricot/pineapple preserves in the center and sprinkled a pinch of granola cereal I had lying around (for an added crunch)

Then I put it in the freezer for about 10 minutes to be extra chilled and took it out, added a whole bunch of whipped cream and some diced strawberries on top.

You can add whatever you want. This you can completely make your own. You can add chocolate, any fruit, ice cream, whipped cream, cereal, cookies, preserves/jelly anything. Mix and match flavors. I normally use plain yogurt or vanilla flavored yogurts which are simpler to combine flavors with but if you want to be extra daring then dare to use another yogurt flavor and mix and match from there.

Have fun
From my kitchen to yours, God Bless
Elise
