Have you ever had a bunch of ingredients at home and don't know what to cook? Have you ever had sugar, butter, eggs etc. and feel like eating something sweet but don't think you can make anything with what you have?

    I'm a follower too!! Miss you honey and miss your cooking too! I love this blog. I'm going to try your way to make rice because my rice is always a bit of a hit and miss job. That chicken looks really good too. Will never forget our thanksgiving meal. That was one of the best meals I've ever had. Love y lots! X

Carne Seca - Salted Dried Beef

Carne Seca is a brazilian form of dried beef which is like a salted piece of beef similar to salted cod. This beef goes great in making your traditional brazilian black beans   into a feijoada which consists of many meats cooked together inside of the beans. Or even in a crazy rice type thing where you do a stir fry, great to be served on its own made into a beef stroganoff . You can use it in the place of any beef great recipe, but Bearing in mind that it is salted. So just like you would with a piece of salted cod. You would first need to soak it and rinse out some of the excess salts and not season your dish in order to enjoy it and not overly salt your foods. It is hard to find Carne Seca in stores, at least here in America it is... Only in select Brazilian specialty shops; and when you do finally find it, they are extremely over priced. Nick named the Soup that will help you go. This soup is full of green vegetables and will help you have a flowing digestive system. Really delicious and filling and excellent for a light launch or dinner. Minimal work all you are doing is putting everything in a pot and letting it cook while you do other things Hearty Chicken Soup Servings: 10 servings Prep Time: 15 minutes Total Time: 1 hour 30 minutes Source: Elise Jackson Ingredients 1 bag lentils 4 stalks of collard greens or a big bag of already cut collard greens chicken breast or thighs pre cooked 1 butternut squash or sweet potato 1 cup broccoli 1/2 cup peas seasonings: onion powder, garlic powder, lawyers, salt, pepper to taste Directions Rinse your lentils and put it into a big pot filled to the top with water.
